The Reset Program – The Warm Up

What will be involved in The Reset Program?
  • Zoom Group Calls - generally Sunday evenings and the odd mid week one to come along to which is on specific topics.
  • Weekly Goals - goals are fragile and we don't want them to drown, week after week, in the flood of daily demands and general 'life'! Each week, you will create your own aspirations for the week.
  • Reflection! Yep, to learn from the week before - What succeeded? What were the setbacks? What are the lessons?
  • Daily accountability through a check-in post in a Facebook group (group to be shared nearer the start date 6th Sep).
  • Advice and tips on how to create healthy, sustainable habits (for your physical, nutritional and mental wellbeing).
  • Chat about relevant topics to you, i.e. motivation, sleep, body positivity, energising mentally and physically...
  • A bunch of foodie ideas for different meals that you can use.
  • Guidance on how to lead a happy and healthy lifestyle.
  • Group support and accountability.
  • Fitness programming and Online Fitness sessions.

But before we start, let's chat...

One of the most consistent things I find myself saying to myself is how important it is to show up.

"Don't focus too much on the outcome, focus on the process".

Getting into the habit of consistently showing up will lead to better results than showing up haphazardly. This is so very true for your fitness schedule, good nutrition habits and looking after your mental wellbeing.

Getting into the habit of consistently meeting those non-negotiables linked to your fitness and wellbeing will lead you to reach those goals.

This is what the Reset Program is about - 'showing up' even on those days when you are pushed for time, being consistent when you are feeling exhausted. It doesn't mean that you give it your full gusto on those days. but I urge you to keep to your schedule when you can.

If you consistently show up, respond and feedback to me to let me know how you are getting on then you will leave this challenge with great consistent habits and feel fitter, stronger and energised.

The Facebook Group - Nov Reset Program

This is where the majority of the information will come from.
My posts will be under 'announcements' and feel free to post away.

Journalling - It is time to get started!

NOW is a good time to go and find a notebook that you can use for notes, goal settings, journalling throughout the next 6 weeks.

Even if it a block of paper stapled together - you want to be able to journal this Reset.

Once you have your notebook....

Time to Action and Share With Me.

Start to jot down what you want your fitness and wellbeing to look like in the last week of November.

We want to have an idea of what we are working towards, but for us to get the true results we need to consider the process of getting to what we want to achieve.

As I said earlier, "Don't focus too much on the outcome, focus on the process".

So, in those notebooks, jot down....

What you want your fitness and wellbeing to look like in the last week of November.
What is likely to go well?
What are the barriers? How you will overcome these?
What will need to change and what will need to do the same?
What will need to be put in place?

Feel free to share this with me on this google form:

The next step of my welcome to you is to show you what I can offer you with exercise and introduce you to the Online Fitness sessions (scroll down for more).

For the 'Reset' we need to diarise , schedule, plan in our workouts for the week ahead.

Yes, I know...
Life is busy.
It’s getting darker.
You are tired.
You have lots of commitments.
There’s just no time in the day.
It does not always feel important.
I’ll do better tomorrow.
I will start tomorrow...

Honestly, if you want to justify why you can’t make time for yourself, you’ll always find a reason. And you know why? The reasons feel good, rather than telling ourselves that we are the only thing stopping us, it feels good to justify it with an external circumstance.

It feels much better to say you are too busy with back to school then say it’s just not a priority. Or easier to say that work is just too busy or the house renovation needs to be prioritised - the list goes on....

HOWEVER, Kirsty, I know taking care of yourself is important to you…so, let that be enough to silence any justification. Otherwise, you would not be there.

So, let's do this.

It is time to schedule, diarise, plan in your workouts - there needs to be at least one strengthening workout per week and at least one rest day - so that caters for us all! But I would encourage movement every day of some sort - whatever that may be.

There will always be a reason to justify why you can’t.

So, let's turn it on its head and make it happen.

What does your week look like? Need to chat?

Be accountable and let me know what your fitness plan for the week ahead is...

Below is some information about our Online Fitness sessions that you are invited to attend 'live' or complete the 'recorded sessions on 'On Demand'.

You've got this,

Kirsty. 🙂

Week One!
Goal setting, a posting challenge and some resources for you on
'Energy Balance, Body Weight and Health'.Read on...if you have any questions, then get in touch.

Okay, it is time! Let's do this.
What I would like you to do now is to decide on three goals you would like to set yourself this week and jot them down in your journal or you can share them here on the google form (link below). When deciding on the three goals - choose one that is quite easy to master, one that is mediocre on the challenge scale and one that is a bit more challenging - you want to let yourself achieve at the end of the week and we will be reviewing the week on Friday, so this is a short week!
It is good to jot your goals in to a journal so that you can look back week on week instead of having to scroll through online forms, emails and facebook threads!

Here are mine....
My goals:
Easy: Drink 2 - 3 litres of water a day
Medium: At least 8k steps a day
Challenge: To track my food using My FItness Pal.

The chat behind the goals...
I chose some challenges that I know I can master.
E: Water is something, I am usually good at but in the last few weeks, I have had less.
M: I need to have steps with 'intent' and purpose - it is good for my mind as well as my body.
C: Tracking food will educate and remind myself about the calorie content of food - it is tedious but can be such an eye opener as to what we are actually eating, drinking.

Week One Goals - Your Google Form
Now, this is the WEEK ONE POSTING CHALLENGE!

The first week is all about you!

For each weekday of next week, Monday - Friday, I challenge you to post ONE photo to show how you are prioritising your health and fitness to the closed Facebook Group (link above).

I know not all of you are on facebook or have time for this - don't let this cause any unnecessary stress - it is just a way to be able to say hello to the group and start the group with a bang - so for those out there who do post, I NEED YOU to help to get the group going. Otherwise, it will just be me wittering away!

It could be a meal, a pair of trainers, a glass of water, some fruit and veg, a book you are reading - basically anything - but all about how you are prioritising you. We should get a great range of posts for this challenge.

Just ONE photo a day or a word or a few words - up to you.

If you fancy it, you could post to your stories and tag Infinite Balance in!

I look forward to seeing your posts. Don't be scared to post, we are all in this together...
